We teach the basic ADN course for dry cargo and tank vessels type N, the specialised course for gases and chemicals, and certificate renewal.
Dangerous goods need an expert on board.
ADN is the European agreement on the carriage of dangerous goods by inland waterways. With an ADN expert certificate you can work on dry cargo vessels and on tank vessels that carry such goods.
You choose the course to match your vessel: dry cargo, tank vessel type N, or both. On tank vessels you can go on to the specialised course for gases (G) or chemicals (C). When your certificate is about to expire, you come back for the refresher course.

The course with us, the exam at the authority.
You need two applications: one for the course with us and one for the exam at the authority. Apply for the course at least one month in advance. Each course date shows the application deadline.

Basic, specialised or refresher, in Hlohovec or Děčín.

Apply for the course with us
Use the form below or call us. You pay for the course by bank transfer or in cash, on the first day at the latest.

Apply for the exam at the authority
In Slovakia, use the Slovak Transport Authority form with proof that you paid the fee, at least 4 weeks before the exam. In the Czech Republic, apply at the Czech State Navigation Administration in Prague or in Děčín.

Complete the course and exam
Once you pass the exam, you receive your ADN expert certificate.

First certificate, specialisation or renewal?
Basic course
For everyone starting with ADN. You choose dry cargo, work on tank vessels type N, or the combined course that covers both.

Which ADN course do I need?
If you do not have an ADN certificate yet, you start with the basic course: for dry cargo, for tank vessels type N, or the combined course that covers both. The specialised course is for the carriage of gases (type G) and chemicals (type C). If you already hold a valid certificate, apply for renewal.
Can I go straight to the gas or chemicals course?
Only if you can show at least one year of experience on a tank vessel type G (gases) or type C (chemicals) within the two years before the exam.
What does the course week look like?
The course starts on Sunday. From Sunday to Thursday you have lessons in the classroom from 8:00 to 16:00, with lunch from 12:00 to 12:45 and two short breaks. From 16:00 to 16:30 you can ask the instructor questions. On Friday you take the final exam at the authority.
Why do I have to apply one month in advance?
The law requires it: in Slovakia the exam application must be submitted at least 4 weeks before the exam date. If you send it by post, the date you post it is what counts.
How much are the exam fees?
In Slovakia you pay an administrative fee of €166 for the exam and €16 for issuing the certificate, with an eKolok or a classic revenue stamp from the post office. In the Czech Republic the fee is CZK 1,500. These are state fees: you pay them to the authority, not to us.
I am renewing my certificate. Do I also pay for the exam?
If you hold a valid ADN certificate and want to renew it, you do not submit an exam application or pay the €166 fee. You only pay the administrative fee for issuing the certificate: €16 in Slovakia, CZK 200 in the Czech Republic.
