From apprentice to boatmaster.
Courses for boatmen and boatmasters, state exams and training on a certified ship-handling simulator. Your first step to a job on board, anywhere on Europe’s rivers.
Apprentice
You sign up for the training course and you are on board. You work on a ship while you study, so the course more or less pays for itself.
Boatman
After the first year and the exam, you are a full member of the crew. You add the theory in the classroom and on the simulator in Hlohovec.
Able boatman
More responsibility, more trust, more kilometres on the river. A rank that shows you mean it.
Helmsman
You are at the helm. Guided by experienced boatmasters, you prepare for the boatmaster exams on the simulator.
Boatmaster
A boatmaster certificate valid on waterways across the EU. A path that usually takes years, in half the time.

Pay for the course
By bank transfer or in cash, on the first day of the course at the latest.
Learn from boatmasters
Theory in the classroom, practice on the simulator, and instructors who know the river from the bridge.
Get your certificate
When you pass, you receive a confirmation and a certificate. The river is waiting.
