Passenger navigation expert When something goes wrong on board, passengers look to you.
A three-day course for crews of passenger and excursion vessels. It prepares you for what the EU directive requires of a passenger navigation expert: organising the life-saving appliances, handling an evacuation, a fire or panic on board, and looking after passengers with reduced mobility.

On a passenger vessel, someone must know what to do in an emergency.
Directive (EU) 2017/2397 introduced a separate qualification for inland navigation: the passenger navigation expert. This is a crew member authorised to take action in emergencies on board passenger vessels, meaning vessels for more than 12 passengers.
Anyone doing this job on board must carry a Union certificate of qualification. In three days at TMLG Academy you prepare for everything the directive requires of a passenger navigation expert.
